Follow this step-by-step guide to successfully configure your Smart Meter using the EasyRenz App.

Standard Wi-Fi Configuration Steps

Before you begin, ensure the following:

• Your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (Smart Meters do not support 5GHz).

• Your router settings are correctly configured (see tips below).

• Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your phone.

Step-by-step Instructions

📱 On Your Phone:

1. Turn ON Bluetooth

2. Turn ON Location

3. Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal

4. Open the EasyRenz App

5. Tap on Devices > Meter

🔧 On the Smart Meter:

6. Press and hold the blue button on the meter for 8 seconds

   Important:

   The smart meter will start blinking when it is in configuration mode.

📱 Back on Your Phone:

7. Tap Configuration Mode

8. Select your Meter Model

9. Choose the number of meters to configure

10. Enter your Wi-Fi password

11. Tap Configure Network

• Ensure your phone is connecting to 2.4GHz SSID.

• Disable dual-band (ax or 5GHz) features temporarily to avoid conflicts.

• Avoid using special characters such as /, _, or @ in your Wi-Fi SSID name.

🔄 Alternative Method: Hotspot Configuration

If you're unable to configure the meter through standard Wi-Fi setup, try this Hotspot Method:

• Two smartphones (Device 1 and Device 2)

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Rename the hotspot name and password on Device 1 to match your home Wi-Fi name and password exactly.

1. Turn off your home Wi-Fi to avoid interference.

2. On Device 1, turn on the hotspot.

3. On Device 2, connect to Device 1’s hotspot.

4. Open the EasyRenz App on Device 2.

5. Follow the standard configuration steps as listed above.

6. Once configuration is successful, turn off the hotspot and re-enable your home Wi-Fi.
